1. Réponse des milieux froids aux fluctuations glaciaires holocènes

Chronologie des fluctuations glaciaires Holocène dans plusieurs massifs montagneux (Alpes françaises, Russie, Islande)

Thèse de doctorat sur la réponse des versants islandais aux fluctuations glaciaires (2004-2008). Minimisation du facteur paraglaciaire dans l’évolution des versants islandais à l’échelle de l’Holocène. Mise en évidence d’une crise paraglaciaire intense et brève (70-100 ans) depuis la fin du PAG. Depuis 2008, chronologie des fluctuations glaciaires dans le sud-est de l’Islande depuis la fin du Petit Âge Glaciaire : datations morainiques de 13 langues glaciaires du Vatnajökull par lichénométrie. Mise en évidence d’une grande variabilité entre les langues glaciaires, lié à facteurs topo-morphométriques (Chenet et al., 2010, 2011).

2. Perception des risques en milieu montagnard et volcanique et production de supports audiovisuels pour la gestion de crise
Participation au programme ARNICA (programme ERA-NET 2010-2013) sur l’impact des coulées de débris et des glissements de terrain sur les réseaux de transport alpins dans le contexte de changement climatique futur. Réalisation d’un film de prévention à destination des décideurs locaux (en cours).
Participation au programme AXA-SEDIMER (2012-2015) sur le risque de lahars suite à l’éruption centennale du Merapi en 2010 (Java, Indonésie).
Participation au programme ANR CASAVA (2010-2013) sur l’atténuation des risques engendrés par les phénomènes éruptifs de la Soufrière (Guadeloupe). Etude des vulnérabilités et des résiliences notamment par des méthodes participatives (Focus Group Discussions) afin d’améliorer la gestion et la prévention des crises volcaniques futures.

3. Représentation locales des problèmes environnementaux et des catastrophes naturelles à travers la réalisation de films documentaires
En 2009, réalisation du film Entre chiens et loups (24 mn) sur le problème du loup dans l’économie ovine. Portrait d’un berger de la région du Mercantour et sa « guerre » quotidienne contre le loup .Entre réalités d’un élevage séculaire et nouvelles représentations urbaines de la nature. Film projeté aux festivals Géocinéma (Bordeaux), Territoires en Images (Paris), Rencontres du cinéma européen (Vannes), Festival du court-métrage (Nice), Caméra des Champs (Ville-sur-Yron, – Prix du premier film), Les Conviviales Art, Cinéma et Ruralité (Nannay), Festival international cinéma nouvelle génération (Lyon), Forum de la Terre (Haroué), Festival du film international de montagne (Autrans).

En 2014 co-réalisation avec F. Geyer du film « Gens de la Soufrière » dans le cadre de l’ANR CASAVA. Représentations locales des guadeloupéens sur l’impact économique de l’éruption de la Soufrière en 1976 (en cours de finalisation).

Dans le cadre du programme AXA-SEDIMER (2012-2015), préparation d’un film documentaire sur l’après-éruption du Merapi en 2010.
