Trois principaux espaces caractérisés par des conditions environnementales et sociétales singulières

en zone tempérée d’Europe de l’ouest (bassin versant la Loire, France) ;
en zone tropicale mésoaméricaine (Guatemala) ;
en zone méditerranéenne d’Afrique du nord (bassin versant de l’Oued Sebou, Maroc).

Les approches développées sont systémiques et multi-scalaires. Elles visent la caractérisation des systèmes complexes positionnés à l’interface nature – société, étudiés à leurs différents niveaux d’organisation et d’intégration.
